University Projects
Josh's Higher Education Trials.
Throughout three years of University studied in Independent Game Design (Game Art), there's of course been assignments where I would have to create new worlds and characters. This page chronicles the extra writing pieces I am most proud off (Year 3 isn't over yet but there's a few projects I didn't want to leave out just because it's only just started.)
Media Projects
Projects you can actually play (or watch) right now. Just follow the buttons!
Dessert Desert
My 3D environment group project. This one is notable because it was my idea that the stage is themed around, a desert completely made up of sweets and dessert items to the point where the sand itself is brown sugar. Through a collaborative effort between me and the other group members, we created the lore that this land was ravaged by an alien war leaving it desolate with only strange lifeforms roaming its "sands". This was a great test of my abilities as the director.

A Knight's Quest
The journey of a knight marching forth to a tower containing an evil dragon who kidnapped the land's fair princess. A tail as old as time. What could possibly go wrong!? The project created for the narrative assignment, you take control of Sir Knightingale's actions as you distort the story and see what this video game has hiding in it's other routes. (Spoiler: It's academic choas.)
A Knight's Quest 2 the Holy Grail
Becoming the leader of the Knight of Reign, Sir Knightingale sets forth to complete a task that will put his name in history. Collect the Holy Grail. Travel to the Grail Chamber and tackle through all its tricks, traps and games to collect the grail and escape.
Feyania Girls
Combining my passions for 2D platformers and story writing, Feyania Girls is an upcoming project created for the Final Group Project.Â
Play as Maki the Magical Girl as she takes a lost baby monster back to it's mother, blissfully unaware of the fact she's just walked into a land filled with magical hungry monsters. Magical Girl Expert Reiya is on her trail, slaying any monster that gets in her way.
This is going to be another great test of my directing skills, being this game's lead project manager!

Non-Playable Projects
The Uni-Projects I am proud of but don't have any actual playable game or watchable video behind it.
Tiny Star
A five stage platformer with four levels of different challenges with a final fifth level testing your might with all the challenges combined. It is a showcase of my platformer knowledge and level design at Year 1 of University, scoring me a 90 percent/first.
Fruity Frenzy
As a part of the character design assignment, I had to create three different characters for a theoretical video game of our creation. I created a puzzle game set in a college of humanised fruits following the Gijinka style that was very popular at that time thanks to the "Earth-chan" character. Meet Tangerine, Benana and Professor Lemon.
