Shooting Star Azura Logo (2019 Version).

On the Planet Anima, a strange phenomenon occurs yearly. A bunch of shooting stars fly around the planet, but sometimes they crash land into the plant. These Wishing Stars hold immense power that is infinite. Enter the heroes and villains of the story, fighting over these fallen stars. The villains want a collection to take over the world and the heroes want to keep them away from said villains. Cartoony antics ensue.

This series is like a modern equivalent of the old Saturday morning-era cartoons like Darkwing Duck, or Animaniacs. So it may not have the biggest story, but it's a more episodic type series. As a video game it's more Crash Bandicoot or Kirby inspired with each game being it's own storyline that has a loose and crazy continuity, just like a wacky slapstick cartoon.

Shooting Star Azura: Welcome

Starlight Heroes

The brave (or stupid) teens blessed by the Wishing Stars.

Drawn Azura Starlight.PNG

Azura Starlight

Azura Starlight is the leader of the team... somehow. He's a young teen full of energy, always ecstatic, and a lover of magical girls. He's the most cartoony of the bunch, cracking 4th wall breaking jokes and being able to handle even the heaviest of punches thrown. His encounter with a Wishing Star gave him incredible strength and endurance.

Ivory Starlight

The older twin brother of Azura, Ivory is the team's brains and brawn. He's the straight man of the team but isn't hesitant to throw a few verbal punches. His encounter with a Wishing Star gave him electrical powers, able to zap down any foe with strong lightening blows!

Drawn Tabby Starlight.PNG

Tabby Starlight

The Starlight's beloved pet cat transformed into a human thanks to his encounter with a Wishing Star. Tabby is a airheaded, scaredy cat, boy, thing, with incredible speed and jumping abilities, since he is a cat. However he's very frail and is an actual idiot. He's also kinda lazy too, but very wide-eyed and innocent, like a kitten.

Rosada "Rosa" Akala

The sweet yet brutal girl of the team, Rosa is the team's expert on the Wishing Star phenomena and has dealt with her star powers for the longest. She has psychic powers, able to capture whatever and whoever she can and use them as her own weapons. This girl has a right temper if a line is crossed and will smash you over the head with a fridge if needed. Bully Azura and you'll get this girl's horns. Besides that she's the school's star pupil and an absolute sweetheart.

The Flame Empire

The most evil team of villains run by the planet's most wanted criminal... His son anyways.

Drawn Crimson Flame.PNG

Crimson Flame

The guy who'll laugh through the fire and the flames, this hotheaded, narcissistic, fun-loving bad-boy is the son of the most infamous villain on the planet and takes utter pride in his job role, backstabbing many like Ivory and Rosa in the past to get his way. Even if he loses he laughs it off for another day of evil! He's been given the powers of fire when coming across a Wishing Star in his own castle's courtyard. He is the personification of fire it seems.

Cadet Grayson

The monotone magician is this team's straight man (ironic) and is the one to overly criticises and analyse any crazy scheme Crimson devises. Still, this more reserved and quiet member of the team is no joke himself, being Crimson's chosen second in command and best friend. He does maybe let Crimson get away with more than the other members for more crushy personal reasons. His Wishing Star granted powers are like Rosa, being a psychic, but he used his magic to mess with people and create illusions and distortions, rather than straight up brute force.

The Flame Empire's Bosses

The creations of Crimson that act as the game's bosses along with Crimson and Cadet. When Crimson got his hands on a giant Wishing Star, he was able to create his army!

Unit Alpha - Twinfire.

This robot with a happy and apologetic, almost goodie-two-shoes side and a angry, violence-loving, maniac dark side is Crimson's first (and hopefully last) attempt in robotics. An experiment before the artificial lifeforms.

Unit Beta - Beta.

The first attempt of artificial life made with the giant Wishing Star, this unit is a hyperactive, pineapple-loving, crazy bundle of spastic choas and definitely is the most annoying one to deal with.

Unit Gamma - Magma.

And finally, Crimson's most loyal creation, Magma is a monster whose form changes depending on the amount of fluid he has to use. This rocky/magma-like monster is a loving brute that is loyal as can be to the Flame Empire and will even argue with his own team just to make sure Crimson is satisfied.

Disclaimer

The character designs were hand-drawn and scanned in, because it feels more cartoony, seeing the base drawings first hand.

Designs and concepts here are not finalised. Again, this is basically a pitch page.
